The UTFCU Emory Road branch represents an early collaboration between Smee + Busby and UT Federal Credit Union, delivering a neighborhood-focused facility tailored to the Powell community. Designed to complement the credit union’s headquarters, the building balances timeless solidity with clear spatial organization and member-centric amenities. The exterior’s masonry, articulated openings, and thoughtful massing create an inviting civic presence, while interior daylighting, circulation, and detailing support efficient operations and a welcoming experience. Drawing on historic architectural language and familiar local forms, the design reinforces UTFCU’s brand values of stability and service while contributing to the vitality of the surrounding neighborhood.
