4 Market Square is the adapted reuse of two existing buildings on Market Square. What was formerly unoccupied retail and office space has been revitalized into a restaurant, performance venue, office space, and apartments. The chic new restaurant, Café 4, is a full-service restaurant/bakery/coffee bar. The restaurant offers a full menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which is served 7 days a week. The coffee bar includes a casual inviting mezzanine loft allowing patrons to visit often while inviting the community to enjoy a “Third Place” of comfort, relaxation, conversation, and even complimentary WIFI. Café 4 is also the gateway to the premier performance venue, The Square Room, which offers a state of the art listening space where patrons can enjoy the artistry of local and regional musicians. The upper floors provide offices and apartments for the directors and participants of the Knoxville Fellows program.
